NEW Lifeline is a Technology Enabled Care service, available 24 hours a day to any person living in Redditch and Bromsgrove districts, and surrounding areas. It enables vulnerable people to remain living independently at home, providing security and peace of mind for themselves, their family, and friends.
Parish Councillors across either district are able to make a referral, and the resident they refer can receive the Lifeline service FREE for 6 weeks. This can support someone coming out of hospital after an operation, or may be just give someone the push they need to recognise they need a little help. During the 6 week period we call the resident each week to see how they are and at the end of 6 weeks we ask if they would like to continue with the service. If they don’t continue, we collect the equipment.
65% of service users decide to keep the service and continue with NEW Lifeline, where we provide 24/7 help in an emergency, reassurance for vulnerable people, peace of mind for families and carers, and referrals to other agencies where appropriate and permission is granted to do so. We are a practical solution, to a person who needs support, that a Councillor can easily offer.
We are able to come out to talk at Parish meetings if people want to learn more about the service we offer, and would be happy to attend any community events.
Make a referral to NEW Lifeline via calling 01527 534060 or emailing NEW Lifeline contact@newlifeline.org.ukwith the potential service user’s name and contact details and we will do the rest. Remember to mention “6 weeks free”.
