Cost of Living SURVEY – We want to hear from as many local residents as possible **NEW**
Following on from the cost of living survey that was carried out earlier this year, Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils and many other local partners would like to gather the views of the local community once more to try and tailor support over the coming months. We want to hear from as many residents as possible but we need your help. The Bromsgrove survey is available online here and a printable version is also attached: Bromsgrove Cost of Living Autumn Survey, or copies can be collected free from Customer Services at Parkside in Bromsgrove . The closing date is midnight on Sunday 8 October 2023. Anyone completing the survey will automatically be directed to different support available. Here is a quick reminder of the 2 main local Household Support Fund schemes:
Act on Energy – help with energy costs, energy debt, broken heating systems etc **RE-OPENING for New Applications on 2 October** This scheme offers qualifying residents across the county of Worcestershire support with their energy costs, fuel debt and where required, assistance to replace broken boilers and heating systems, subject to funding. Eligibility criteria for support is not restricted to solely vulnerable households in receipt of benefits, but criteria will be applied for the different elements of support on offer. Further information can be found online at: WORCESTERSHIRE HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT FUND (actonenergy.org.uk), including the scheme timetable of dates which explains the scheme will pause for one week each month to allow for processing time. Residents can apply online or call 0800 988 2881.
Citizens Advice Bromsgrove and Redditch – help with food and other essentials **RE-OPENING for New Applications on 6 October** Residents who may need support with food and wider essentials, can apply to the Household Support Fund – Citizens Advice Bromsgrove & Redditch (cabr.org.uk). Citizens Advice Bromsgrove and Redditch are working closely with Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Councils to provide this support.
